If you are unable to get rid of that nasty fat in your body through traditional weight loss methods, including exercise and diet, liposuction may help in such cases. An ideal candidate for 360-degree liposuction is the one who is near to his/her target weight but fails to lose the resistant fat, which is getting in the way of getting an ideal and sleeker shape. Contrary to traditional liposuction, which only targets unwanted fat from one specific area, 360 degrees hits the entire torso, which includes abs, hips, waist, back, etc. The process can be combined with breast augmentation and other cosmetic surgeries to get the perfect hourglass shape.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidates for Liposuction 360 are the individuals looking to remove the fat from the trouble areas which cannot be fixed with exercise alone. Lipo 360 works best as it targets both large and small body areas to shape and contour. Though it is a minimally invasive procedure, it is still a form of surgery, so a person who is looking to get the procedure done should be in good health.

Procedure

Your surgeon will listen to your body contouring goals, and after considering them, he will choose the most effective surgical solution for you, which suits your body type. Your surgeon will make multiple incisions around the treated area, and with the help of a special solution made up of sterile saline and local anesthetic, he will help in loosening the undesired fat cells. The fat extraction process involves the use of a hollow and small tube known as a cannula, which is inserted through these incisions from which the stubborn fat cells are suctioned away from the entire treatment site while shaping and sculpting the body.

Recovery

There may be some swelling, bruising, and tenderness after the procedure. Your surgeon will discharge you with some important guidelines about how and when to wear the compression garment. Recovery depends on person to person. However, most people take a few days to a week off from work after liposuction. You will be advised to prevent vigorous exercise and heavy lifting for many days. You will notice a remarkable difference in your body after the procedure. However, there may be swelling, which may last for many months, and only when it’s gone, you will be able to see the final results.

Known Complications

With modern day techniques Liposuction has become a very safe procedure. The known complications of the procedure are infection, inflammation, bruising of the areas. Most of the patients do not experience major complications with the procedure alone.

Recent advances

Liposuction today has advanced to the level where surgeons can perform it under local anesthesia. Local anesthesia is safer than general anesthesia. It allows the patient to move during the procedure if needed to improve symmetry and contouring. However, local anesthesia cannot be used for bigger areas or multiple areas.

Another advancement that we have seen in the procedure is the use of a cannula. In the past, the cannula used to be large and used to have sharp ends, the purpose of which was to cut through the fatty tissues; however, with a larger cannula, surgeons needed to make larger incisions. Today, surgeons are using more flexible and small cannulas, which allow the surgeons to remove fat with small incisions. New techniques in the procedure have resulted in less swelling and quicker recovery.
